Official Front Cover, how i made it

Firstly using the colour tool, I set the urban grey landscape as my background colour.

Using the vector text tool I added my masthead, then changed the font to Agency FB due to the bold and strong look.

I then added my puffs, I made them the same font for consistency, I added artist anchorage text and made this bold and bigger, I also made my anchorage text a different colour to stand out, this is so the audience know who my magazine is concentrating on.

I added my image into my front cover by copying and pasting. Using the magic wand tool, I got rid of this pictures normal white background. I did this as I decided that the urban grey landscape will be the main background throughout the magazine .

Finally using the shapes tool, I added a rectangle on the bottom right corner, this includes : bar code, Q-code, the date and price. I copied and pasted the bar code and Q-code and moved this across and made it fit into the rectangle by decreasing the size using the scale tool. I added the price and date using the text tool.

Feature Article Improvement

Looking back at my first feature article the columns were not justified I improved this by moving all the text into one side of my double page spread then justifying.
I then added an opening text that stands out,  its bold compared to the other text, My title is the same font as my masthead for consistency it also makes it more professional because of the layout, on my original feature article the title was overlaying my image, I also decided to change my image, I did this as the original image would not fill in the whole A4 side, I decided to use another picture which used the spacing properly. My new feature article also follows conventions, It know has a boarder line. I increased the size of my quotation as it blended into my actual text.

Feature Article Feedback

Positives:

The colour coordination links well together
The font style links to target audience and fits well into the page, it doesn't stand out
The picture is very clear.
The amount of text used is good, not too much nor is it too small
Simple order to follow, not confusing to read

Negatives and Improvements 

The columns need to be justified
Need an opening text where it is different to the other text, it needs to stand out
the quotation needs to be a little bigger and slightly moved
Need a boarder line around the magazine, this needs to be done for all edges
Change of colour for when the artists is speaking,
